I interviewed at Mistplay over a week ago and decided to withdraw from the process.
Overall, I think the company has a great potential and might grow big in future. My interviewer was rather nice and I enjoyed talking to him.
During the interview I learned the team lead has no experience leading people and hardly any experience in machine learning. I sneaked some technical terms and saw him being surprised hearing with them even though the topic was directly related to the field he was working in. When I answered his technical questions with direct methods he also didn't know them (A/B testing).
It seemed to me he was more interested in who I am as a person than whether I actually have any knowledge - asking me about my free time, hobbies.
When moving to another role, we invest our time, emotions and entrust the new leader he can help us grow. Unfortunately, Mistplay cannot offer that.
