After a brief call with a technical manager, I was asked to arrive in person for a coding challenge with a team member. This involved participating in a 30 minute conference call in the office, and then solving 5 or so short python problems on the team member's laptop. Two weeks after this, after following up, I was told that "they were having difficulty choosing" and that I should come to the office, the very next day, for another coding challenge. I did so. This time the questions were longer, and the team member worked on the same problems in parallel. I managed to finish all of the questions ahead of the team member successfully, after which I was taken on a tour of their data center location. This time I asked when I would hear back, and was not given a response. Soon after I received an email that stated "my python skills were very good, but I did not have very much 'real world' experience, and that he would be back with me in a few days". Two weeks later, after hearing nothing more, I contacted the manager again, and he said that "hr should have contacted me" (they didn't) and that they had went for another candidate. I responded in a professional manner, asking for some feedback on my interview qualifications in order to assist with my future job search. It has now been about three weeks after that, and the manager had never answered my question.
