Application
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Moonpig (London, England (UK)) in March 2019.
Interview
Initial phone interview with in house recruiter to discuss background then another 'technical' phone interview to discuss how you would approach scenarios such as dealing with difficult people in a team.
Onsite interview over 3 hours long with pair programming session, then another round of drilling questions going through CV and finally round HR representative going over scenario based questions.
Advertised for someone starting an engineering career with no expectation of technical knowledge or tests but rather interest and keen to learn but had pair session to build a game with test specifications so was surprised by that. Everything before that was surrounding behavioural questions.

Interview
HR were great at getting in touch, leading the communication, and keeping me informed. Had a lovely phone interview with HR where they asked about my skills.
The hiring manager was judgemental and it didn't feel like I was a respected candidate in the process. It felt like the hiring manager didn't look at my CV before agreeing to the interview, and then had no choice but to go ahead with it. Felt like a waste of time.
Hiring manager was prejudiced about my job moves, and focused a lot on the failings of my last company in having their marketing at a holistic level (it was much like a start-up environment at my last company, so things were less than perfect, and many analysis items needed to be both built and refined).
My advice: if you're afraid to lose candidates or that an employee will move on quickly, then you're not in a position of strength in the first place. People will stay if you offer them a great place to work, starting with the interview process.

Interview
First screening call came quickly, then 2 weeks passed until a tech test was sent. Originally told the role was in one technology but tech test was for an entirely different technology. Asked if this was the correct test. But nearly a week passed without a response, did it anyways and sent it in because of lack of replies in spite of including the director of engineering in the chain.
Then moved onwards after 4 weeks to a day-long F2F. Pairing exercise first, followed by soft skill questions. Then a video chat with the CTO on a giant iPad. As I had several other offers already I gave them those offer figures.
Half a week later, a very low offer was received, 10K less than other offers. Yes, you are a business that is trying to get people for cheap, but how do you think this makes you look? Initially declined but they came back with a higher figure. Declined in the end.
Company has a severe lack of direction and doesn't communicate well between offices and depts. One of the most disappointing interview processes from start to finish.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Moonpig (London, England (UK)) in October 2018.
Interview
The process started off by sending my CV to an external recruiter.
A few days later I had a phone call with a team lead. it was a (45 min) call about general aspects of software engineering and ways of working.
3 days later, I was given a tech test. I spent 2 days and submitted the code (basically there is no limitation). when the code was reviewed, Moonpig invited me to have the final interview on site.
It was 1-hour pair programming, 1-hour discussion around architecture and 1 hour about soft skills.

Phone Call with Head of Engineering, then a take away technical challenge which I could do in my own time, feedback was sent back quickly and I was invited to visit the office for a Face to Face and pairing interview, everyone I met was very friendly and the process was one of the best I've been through, they were very honest about the challenges and the roadmap for what I might be working on should I be successful.
I wasn't successful but I do intend to apply again in the future once I've worked on some of the feedback I received

Final interview with dept manager (Video call)
Very nice people and very good interview process (probably the last step was a bit redundant). I was asked sensible questions, and I received good answers for the questions I asked.
During the interview process (which took longer than expected due to holidays), the situation with my employer changed, so I decided not to accept their (very good) offer.

Interview
Had a phone interview. It was ok but didn't leave me with a great impression. The interviewer wanted very specific knowledge rather than someone with Google general skills and the ability to learn (and read things??). It was clear from his tone and abruptness that I didn't fit the very specific profile he was looking for. I would advise that if you don't fit their specifics, don't bother. It was a disappointing experience considering that they initially come across as employee-centric.

Phone interview with Director of CRM. Conveyed myself well. Showed passion for my area of expertise and how that would help shape and progress CRM at Moonpig. However how much can you know someone from a 20min phone interview. Surely if you’re willing to speak to someone based on their CV, you could at least take the time to meet them face to face and give them a decent amount of your time. This was not the case. Got a follow up email a week after which criticised me for lack of energy and being unable to critique myself. Completely unfair.
Firstly my areas of improvement have no impact on a temp contract so long as I can do the job to a very high standard. Personal development is only relevant to career moves where you’ll develop in a role and with a company.
Secondly only your team and previous line-managers can critique your areas of improvement. None of us are perfect and never will be, we’ll always be developing and learning. Not the sort of question to judge someone on, especially when they make it clear they can do the job well.
Just fyi to hiring manager, I can always improve in every area but I’m also very competent in every area. More than enough to have been very successful in this role.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Moonpig (Manchester, England (UK)) in July 2019.
Interview
Had an "informal chat" about softer side of role, followed by a technical task.
Feedback on Interview task was inaccurate - was critiqued for not having a unit test for a scenario that was unit tested. Also critiqued for having too many unit tests, some tests described as "obscure" because they swallowed an exception (in order to test a specific part of the classes responsibility without over-engineering the setup).
The weighting of the role was advertised as a manager-heavy role. Wasn't offered the role based on opinionated feedback based on the technical task, which as I have explained was inaccurate.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Moonpig (London, England (UK)) in June 2019.
Interview
In person interview 45 mins with the hiring line manager. Interview was very curt, abrupt and unprofessional. Only had 1 min at the end to ask questions after he had written and extrapolated all my strategic ideas and advice. Was bombarded with a barrage of questions that were all about immediate solutions to existing problems rather than any questions about finding out about me as a candidate. Did absolutely nothing to sell the company to me. A very one way interview and left with very negative impressions of the company. Rang up the recruiter straightaway to withdraw from the process
