I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in Feb 2013
Interview
Applied online. Round 1 was a phone interview. Both behavior and a bit technical regarding equity markets and BRM. Second round was a super day at MS in New York. This consisted of 4 interviews of 30 minutes each. All the interviews were different regarding BRM operations as well as macro current events. Received the offer same day and accepted.

Pitch 2 stocks you would buy and to you would short. Also would suggest a good understanding of BRM.
I applied online. I interviewed at Morgan Stanley (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
It starts with a hi review, which just asks some behavioral questions. It took over a month to be offered a first round interview, which takes place over the phone. The interviewer was very nice, and made the 30 minute call very enjoyable. Not very technical, and overall pretty fair. Still waiting to hear back for the final round interview.

Question 1
They asked questions like "how would you invest $100,000" and "would you rather $1,000,000 now or $100,000 every year for the rest of your life?" Also be able to talk about stocks and why you want to do BRM specifically, and not other roles. They know BRM is pretty niche and unique to MS, so do your research! Also was asked core values, so know that as well :)
It is 5 consecutive interviews with seniors in BRM. There is one interview asking math problems involving statistics. The others are quite normal questions about intro, why you want to work here.
The first phone interview was mainly about past experiences and fit questions. There were also market related and day-to-day activities questions. Overall it has been a very useful and insightful experience.
