      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Morningstar (Chicago, IL)

      Interview

Applied, heard fairly quickly from HR and virtual interview was set up. ***They only give 24 hours notice of interview time so beware when you give your availability. Interview was one on one for 30 minutes with the person who would be that position's supervisor. Easy, casual interview and told I would be moving on. Excited. 3 weeks later, supervisor reaches out to tell me I will be hearing soon from HR. 2 weeks after that I hear from HR ready to set up my 2nd virtual interview that will be 2 1/2 hours long but no other details. I give my availability. They come back that one person can't make it that week so ask for following week's availability and ask for more information and insight on the 2 1/2 hours. Then nothing. I don't get a response to my email nor do I get an invite to my interview. I don't hear anything until I get an email telling me I missed my virtual interview and would I like to reschedule? THEY NEVER TOLD ME WHEN THE INTERVIEW WAS. After I told them I never got the invite, I received the invite 30 minutes after the interview was suppose to start, almost to save their job in HR. Again I give my availability to reschedule. 2 days later I get an email asking if I got the invite for that afternoon's interview. AGAIN They failed to tell me about the interview so no, I was not prepared to do a 2 1/2 interview on the fly and asked to reschedule once again. While I was emailing them this, I got a rejection email from a separate email. I asked what it meant to the first email and if it is rejected or if I will have another "interview". Again, silence. I'm floored from the lack of professionalism of the HR department and their lack of communication. This could be a great place to work (and reviews say as such) but I got blown off with no reason why except for lack of communication and professionalism. Its unbelievable any company would do this, let alone a large multi-national corporation. I will say that the 2 1/2 hour virtual interview consisted of 30 minutes with 5 different people, the last person being HR. When I was given the invite to the interview I "missed" I got the schedule and structure of the interview and was able to look up the people who would be interviewing me.
