It was a lengthy process. 4.5 hour code assessment, multiple stages to interview and multiple interviewers. I did not mind the length of the interviews (although the assessment was a tad long imo). My main issue was the amount of time it took for them to get back to me and give me the offer. It took over a whole month. That is just too long. I got another offer in the interim (the other company offered the job within 1 week...) and took that job instead. It left a sour taste in my mouth at such a long delay. Aside from that, most interviewers seemed like nice people to work with and seemed like a decent place to work at.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Morningstar (Mumbai) in May 2026
Interview
It was easy dsa questions and few sql and mostly it was calm and composed interview and i got selected later on same day after giving interview later on hr questions were on how you fit what actions u take and all that
round 1 Is a 30 minute interview with the senior manager, basically does a deep dive into projects and skills in your resume and then technical questions. round 2 Is onsite
I asked the HR contact what type of questions/assessment the interview would consist of, and they said whiteboarding technical problems. The actual interview surprisingly was questions about my experiences instead.
