I received a phone call from a recruiter in HR, she prepared me exceptionally well for the interview, sent me across some documents to review and I was booked in to interview with the CEO & CFO. Unfortunately no one asked me regarding my salary so I was offered an initial day to attend the office, get to know the team, and a short handover from the person currently in the role, I was told I was the ideal fit for the role and they were excited to have me onboard - It was only after this they asked about my salary and suggested they wanted to offer 15k less than my expectations - it was then that I was told that they felt the role required a much more junior and less experienced PA - I am still shocked and appalled that they would progress to offer without discussing salary expectations - it was a total waste of my time as I spent a significant amount of time on interview prep. I would suggest confirming salary arrangements before attending your interview to avoid wasting time.
