The process started with a brief phone interview. Later, I had an in-person interview followed with the branch manager or the hiring manager in this case. The process was about 3 weeks total from application to hire.

Interview
The interview process was standard. The questions that were asked were traditional interview questions. Most questions included the company explaining how one will contribute to the company and complete required tasks.
I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at NC State Employees' Credit Union (Raleigh, NC) in Dec 2021
Interview
The interview for this financial institution was the messiest and longest I’ve ever experienced. After two women interviewed me for 30 minutes and couldn’t answer a lot of my questions. They then had me wait in the lobby 10 minutes because the manager was busy. The manager then proceeded to interview me and ask a lot of the same questions the women just had which took an additional hour. There was a lot that was wrong about my first impression here but I will add the highlights. The biggest issue being after being interviewed by 3 people not a single one could tell me what I’d be paid if I took the job. The manager shared that the merit everyone gets each year, that they will take some of your raise and give it to another employee if they think they are doing a better job then you and called that “healthy competition”. Due to the uncomfortable environment, lack of straight answers, inability to adequately describe the job role, and how chaotic the interview was I decided it wasn’t a good fit. When they called me today to follow up and I informed them I’d be going another direction and thanked them for the opportunity the women’s voice changed from super nice to irritated and after saying “ok, thank you” in a harsh tone she hung up on me. Glad I passed on this place.
