The interview panel was polite and friendly, and I appreciated their time. However, it seemed clear they had not reviewed my CV before inviting me for the interview. At the start, I was told they didn’t believe I had enough experience for the role, which made the interview feel unnecessary, as this could have been communicated by email beforehand.
This was particularly disappointing because I had already discussed my previous role and experience in detail during an earlier interview with the GM, after which I was invited for an in-clinic interview with the team lead. Based on that, I assumed my experience had already been assessed and aligned with the role requirements.
Better communication and candidate screening before scheduling interviews would make the process more respectful of applicants’ time.
