I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at New Balance (Boston, MA) in Sep 2012
Interview
I was initially encouraged when I got an immediate response to my resume (as in I was contacted for an interview within an hour of submitting my application) and was pleased to schedule my phone interview. On the day of the interview, the recruiter (or HR person?) called me ten minutes late and then proceeded to read my resume to me and then asked me a number of questions that had nothing to do with the job description. Specifically, she asked me a lot about my experience with social media and event planning, things I have done at jobs in the past. She asked me very few questions that seemed relevant to being a retail manager -- it was one of the strangest interviews I've ever had.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about how you defined the success of an event at your store.
I had interviewed with both the district manager and regional manager. The questions and duration were as to be expected for the type of role. I didn't get an offer nor did they follow up.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at New Balance (Chicago, IL) in Oct 2023
Interview
1 screen interview followed by a panel interview with other management like district and regional. overall both interviews lasted about. 1 hour each and were virtual. They did not reach back out to tell you no. The job was explained very well through both interviews.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at New Balance
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter than in person interview with two district managers. Took a while between the initial phone interview with no correspondence. The recruiter called about 2 weeks after the initial phone interview hoping I could do the in person interview that day otherwise there would not be another opportunity. Obviously this was a bit strange, did not have much time to prepare for the interview. Interview overall seemed like they were searching for competitor information.
