The interview process required approximately 8 hours of my time across only the first two stages, and an additional hour for an interview. The first discussion focused only on personal lifestyle choices rather than professional qualifications or experience. If the discriminatory ideological alignment of being vegan only on personal matters is a prerequisite for employment, it would be more respectful and transparent to communicate this early in the process rather than after candidates have invested substantial time. An organization that genuinely seeks to create meaningful change should ensure that its hiring processes prioritize professional competence, practical experience, and constructive dialogue. When clearly significant time and organizational resources are spent evaluating candidates on personal lifestyle matters rather than their ability to contribute to real-world solutions, it raises legitimate questions about whether the organization’s priorities are aligned with its stated mission and the broader challenges it claims to address.

As other reviews have mentioned, the interview process is very rigorous, with multiple tiers. It was quite unlike any interview process I have ever gone through; however, this is because the culture they have built is incredibly progressive, forward-thinking and collaborative in ways most organizations are not. It all works because leadership is determined to bring in people that not only have the relevant experience but can also work well within the incredibly modern structure they have built - a structure that prides itself on regularly providing and receiving honest feedback, self-reflection and honesty in the name of eradicating factory farming.
