Initally applied online via their online portal and received a response asking me to prepare a mock presentation about 4 weeks later. After complating the presentation I was promptly invited to interview at their London office, during the interview (me and 2 staff members) I was also asked to present the presentation I'd created. The actual interview was fine, the interviewers were kind although asked some difficult questions and I felt they explained the role well. I was not annoyed when I didn't get the role, however it felt disrespectful that after putting time/money/effort into interviewing the company couldn't even give me the courtesy of a rejection email/phone call. The whole process took 8 weeks and significant amount of time and effort which just wasnt replied in kind by the NYT.
