I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Francisco, CA) in May 2016
Interview
The interview I went to was relatively casual, started with some questions about yourself and then went onto basic skill related questions. It was not a long interview since the interviewer was visiting the university, so he allotted about an hour per person and did not go super in depth.
