      Senior Network Engineer Interview

      Feb 5, 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman in Jan 2014

      Interview

The overall interview process was very technical, and I'm glad I was prepared. I was asked to whiteboard a few network design scenarios. I accepted the offer and gained an enormous amount of network engineering experience. I would recommend anyone trying to gain experience or work with the latest networking technology to apply at NG.

      Senior Network Engineer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      San Diego, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Northrop Grumman (San Diego, CA) in Aug 2024

      Interview

Absolutely atrocious. I was on PTO from my current role. I was taking care of my sick grandmother. I was given a days notice to prepare. I still managed to do well. After passing the phone interviews and the technical interview, i was told that i was done. Then last minute, they said someone else also wanted to interview me. i was told that they were trying to pick apart my resume and discredit years of my employment that weren’t as heavily focused on engineering. After the previous technical interviewer was half an hour late, the next one decided to follow suit by rescheduling our meeting an hour before it was set to take place… only they never rescheduled. It has been two weeks since. Communication has been non existent since. If they didn't want to pay me asking salary, they could have just acted like adults and said that, INSTEAD of wasting my time!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They asked me very basic questions about the OSI model and the differences between different routing protocols
