initial interview with HR representative from a nursing student job fair, approximately 30 minutes. asked about my career goals, why i wanted to pursue nursing, what i learned from each of my previous work experiences then with unit manager who i was matched with based on my previous experience.

I applied online after being referred by two employees at Northwell Health. After about a week and a half, a Talent Acquisition member reached out to me and talked to me about scheduling an interview. Unfortunately, that position was filled and she couldn't get me an interview but I called whenever I noticed another position was open and soon enough she was able to get me an interview with a nurse manager at Lenox Hill. I was nervous at first but after meeting the nurse manager and a fellow PCA, all of my nerves disappeared! They asked me a few questions and asked about my work history, then explained what I could expect from the position as well as the orientation process. The PCA walked me through a typical day as a PCA and even took her time showing me the floor! About a week later, I got a call about offering me the position. Overall, the process is smooth and straightforward!

The whole interview process was smooth. Talent acquisition was very accommodating in finding me a position that would be a good fit for me. And the manager i interviewed with at North Shore University was very clear on what was expected of me and what I could expect of them.
