I applied online. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Poughkeepsie, NY) in Jul 2020
Interview
A series of phone calls with different people in the company. They want to sell you on taking the job because not many people want to take it. When they add advisors, it increases their book and helps them make money while you work for a few years on a very low salary.
I applied online. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Minneapolis, MN) in Jan 2021
Interview
The first interview was fairly basic. It was mostly general information about the position and a get-to-know you type of call. The second interview was with one of the Financial Advisors and was much more specific, as they had you fill out a survey before about your personality. After the second interview, I was offered a third but chose to withdraw as it didn't seem like the right fit for me. Be prepared however to do a lot of work outside of the interviews if you go through the entire process, as there is a presentation and multiple surveys you have to give before the final interview.

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual in Oct 2020
Interview
Pretty simple and straightfowards, mostly standard questions about my strengths and why I wanted to take part in the company. They seemed like they were looking to turn the internship into a full-time position.
