I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual
Interview
i was contacted by a northwestern mutual inside recruiter after being recommended by a associate who was in their internship program. i had an initial phone screening with the recruiter followed by an online assessment that is specific to their company. it was a simple questionnaire designed to highlight any traits i might have to benefit the company. i was called back for a second round to meet the recruiter and go over my results and talk more about the position, in the same meeting i scheduled a third round where i would meet the district manager. i was then given a packet of mock interview work to see if the work i would be doing would be right for me. it was a heavy amount of networking and proposing awkward questions to family and friends, but in the end was ultimately a true representation of what you would be doing. after this i was scheduled to meet the office leadership and offered the position.

Question 1
what did you learn from meeting all the people you did your mock interviews with?
I applied online. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual
Interview
The interview asks exactly what you would expect it, but it seems almost too easy. This role is giving people interested in sales a way to practice reaching out to people and doing consultations, but nothing technical. It is a way for the company to leverage a new interns network to get people to buy their product. They basically tell you what you're going to do instead of interviewing you.

Question 1
Do you have a network of friends and family that you can reach out to?
I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Northwestern Mutual (Wellesley, MA) in Apr 2024
Interview
The interview was overall good. Lasted thirty minutes, you will need to be prepared with general knowledge of the history of company. One of the benefits is you do not need any experience for the job.
