I applied for the Senior Strategist position, given my seven years of experience in that field. However, the response I received suggested that I wasn't the right fit for that role, but rather for a Business Development role. Since I have experience in both areas, I welcomed the opportunity to interview, especially considering the positive impressions I had of the company from their website. I underwent three consecutive interviews over three days, and everything seemed to be going smoothly. However, during the third interview, I was unexpectedly asked to discuss both the Senior Strategist and Business Development roles, which left me unprepared as I hadn't been informed beforehand. Consequently, I couldn't showcase any relevant examples of my strategy work. Following this, I had another successful call with two additional team members a week later. However, despite the promising interactions, I was disappointed to be left in the dark afterward, with no further communication. Being ghosted in such a manner after expressing genuine interest in the opportunity was disheartening and unprofessional.
