      I interviewed at One Door

      Interview

Standard interview process. The HR lead was very communicative and responsive. The feedback from the previous rounds and presentation were glowing. Upon moving to the last round, she provided me with a massive list of notes and answers to help with the conversation - which was very kind. However, none of the prep she had sent me was relevant to our conversation. The last round interview was short, seemingly uninterested and borderline rude. Half way through our conversation he said "I think I have all I need here." and abruptly ended our call 20 minutes early. I was unsure how to take that comment, and the recruiter had said he can be a bit tough to read. Depending on his mood that day, will shape which candidates he likes. Typically not a great hiring practice. I found out I didn't get the role - by seeing it re-posted to LinkedIn 30 minutes after my interview...I received a rejection email the following day. Don't waste a candidates time, ask them to do a presentation, give them glowing feedback - only to put them infront of an interviewer who can be hot/cold depending on the day. If hiring qualified talent is your goal, perhaps take into account a candidates full interview rounds, and not lean on one final interaction to accept/reject them.
