      Account Development Representative Interview

      Jan 5, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Singapore
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at OpenText (Singapore) in Jan 2014

      Interview

Good interview with the recruiter asking general questions and explain the job clearly. The next interview with direct supervisor took place only 2 weeks later and the final interview was 1 month later. Slow process.

It is very important to understand where our strengths and gaps are in our recruitment process. I am glad to hear that your experience with our Talent Acquisition Advisor was a positive first interaction. However, it is clear that your final round experience was not positive, as it took one month to conclude. I agree: waiting one month is simply not acceptable. I am following up with the individuals involved to understand why it took so long to conclude your final interview. There may have been a very good reason for the delay but that has to be communicated and quickly. Again, thank your for your honest feedback. I appreciate it. Paul Villagra

      Interview

Was an easy transition from recruiter, manager, and then a final interview with email and call guides to turn in. They will let you know fairly quickly if you get the job or not.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at OpenText

      Interview

First round - phone screening with the recruiter. He asked some basic questions regarding what about my experience and went on to arrange a second interview with the hiring manager. The recruiter did not explain clearly what the job was except to say that it is a replacement role. Got into the next round of interview with the hiring manager. Asked recruiter if there was anything else to prepare for the interview, he said to read up on Opentext products on the website. During the second round of interview with the hiring manager, the hiring manager first introduced what the company is doing then went on to talk about himself for the next 20 mins. He asked a few questions but interrupted whenever I was answering him. He also made a few jokes that was not relevant to the things we were talking about. Hiring manager was also very distracted during the interview and kept checking his mobile phone notifications and replying to other people. Also emphasized that they do not hire people with no enterprise experience. What was supposed to be a 30 min interview dragged on to 1 hour 20 mins with him interrupting and distracted most of the time. Overall felt that it was a waste of time and that interviewer was distracted while candidate is speaking.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at OpenText (Waterloo, ON)

      Interview

The process was bit lengthy, had to go through 6 rounds. But, it was worth it. The senior team was trying to make sure that I fit in the right business unit. The questions were primarily around my earlier experiences and how I got about reaching my targets. All the rounds went smoothly and everyone I interacted with where real good people and probably the best at what they were doing.
