Interview
Passed OA at 90%. Did a behavioural interview with a HR. No RESPECT for candidates.
Ask me how Optiver makes money, I replied with market making blah blah ... tell me cut the bul**it and boil it down to one line. I dont know and the answer is "BUY LOW AND SELL HIGH".
Asked me how to build a good trading system, I replied with good algorithm, good connection to exchanges and good trade execution system, not satisfied but the answer is "SPEED and RELIABILITY".
Honestly, worst HR interview experience, looking for specific answers to open-ended questions. Good luck on finding the real candidate, Optiver.
The interviews consisted of an OA, then behavioural, then technical and thena final round consisting of another technical, system design and behavioural. These last interviews all an hour each. I only got up to the first technical.
OA; quite long, 3 tests
Behavioral interview: just a short talk with HR, motivation,…
Technical Interview 1: fundamental CS, nothing more
Technical Interview 2: system design, very vague but just go with the flow
Technical Interview 3: live coding, still leetcode but optiver style is a very descriptive problem, but the main thing could be boiled down into only few lines
