Orange County Register interview questions

A recruiter asked for my resume, reviewed it, and sent it on to the OC Register. The interviewer at the Register asked me about my management experience, which the job required. I replied that I had none. My resume doesn't indicate that I have any. If they had reviewed my resume, they would have seen that I didn't have any. So the interview was a waste of time.

Interviewed with top 3 newsroom managers, plus my direct supervisor. Submitted 8 work samples and 3 references. There was no talk of pay until the end. The questions were generally about work I had done at previous employers and why I wanted to leave the job I then had. I talked frankly about my wish to work for a higher profile company.
