Question 1
Experience and work ethics. What I want to get out of working at the job
I applied online. I interviewed at Outback Steakhouse (Winter Garden, FL) in Mar 2026
Interview
I applied for a dishwasher position at this new restaurant location. After waiting a month for the interview (no exaggeration) I went in for an interview. Kitchen manager said he would reach out for a second interview, and this was after we discussed my pay and hours. I called back after not hearing from him and we scheduled my second interview. My second interview is where it all went downhill. The first person who sat with me was the store proprietor, who agreed with all that the manager had said. She then admitted that the kitchen manager who interviewed me no longer works with them. That is a huge red flag. Then the proprietor sends out her “right hand man,” her words not mine. I literally couldn’t understand a word he asked me. He had a strong accent and spoke very softly. It was embarrassing asking him to repeat himself multiple times every question and I eventually just gave up because I knew it was over. I wish they had sent out an English speaking manager to interview me. Not cool Outback.
