Senior Geospatial Machine Learning Engineer Interview

      Oct 15, 2025
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Burlington, VT
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Overstory (Burlington, VT) in Oct 2025

      Interview

Initial phone screen with recruiter. 30 minute call with hiring manager that was quite high level and mostly going over my background. Then an hour-long pair programming session using CoderPad, led by two engineers. Pair programming started with a few minutes for me to introduce myself and they left time for my questions about the company at the end. The next step would have been an interview where I presented a previous ML project I'd done and walked through it with Engineers at the company.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

In the pair programming session I was presented with a very messy class and asked to walk through adding a new method and testing.
