      Technical Recruiter Interview

      Jan 6, 2026
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Overstory in Dec 2025

      Interview

Not a great experience with this recruiter, so I wasn't at all surprised not to move forward. The recruiter arrived late, her energy was frenetic, and she rushed through everything she said. She spoke so fast, it was as if she was going through the motions; it was clear she didn't care for what she was doing. Nothing she said was genuine, except for the excitement she communicated about taking time off after her calls ended that day. She barely looked at me during the call, constantly referring to a separate screen when already using a notetaker to take notes. Overall, this was a pretty horrible candidate experience. If her behavior during this brief call is any signal of what it's like to work there, I dodged a bullet.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

She asked me about specific experience on my resume twice, so be prepared to provide details and stories to back up your bullet points - even if the recruiter isn't quite listening, the notetaker is.
