Had face to face interview for a job and didn't hear back, was then phoned about another role that they thought would fit me better. Came in to interview for that in person.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ozo Innovations in Feb 2019
Interview
Phone interview, phone interview, face to face.
The first phone interview was by a recruitment agency who then forwarded my details to the company for review. The second phone interview was by a senior manager at the company. This was more in-depth and focused mainly on previous experiences relating to the current role being advertised.
The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ozo Innovations (New York, NY)
Interview
Bizarre experience. After the initial phone interview I was invited for a face to face with three individuals from different departments. To my surprise when I arrived I was greeted and invited for what can only be described as an informal chat with one person. The "interview" took around 2 hours and was primarily the hiring manager talking to me rather than asking me questions. During that time the hiring manager said a number of contraversial things which may be seen as borderline arrogant such as trying to convince me micromanagement is useful. When I asked about Ozo's working environment the hiring manager said a number of people are leaving and a few others are unhappy but he doesn't know why as that's the job they were hired to do. Overall not great, would not have accepted even if an offer was made.
