The interview process was very chill; interviewer asked behavioral questions mostly as well as availability for part-time position. They clearly wanted longer term workers. After the interview, got a call back and an offer.
Accepted offer
Positive experience
Easy interview
Application
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Panera Bread (West Bloomfield, MI) in Oct 2023
Interview
I mistakenly entered the wrong Panera, unaware that I had arrived at the one closest to me rather than the one I had an interview with. Despite this, the manager made her way out and we did an on-the-spot interview. It was my first ever interview, this is my first job. She was extremely friendly, and as long as you're mildly competent and you have a good work ethic, you'll do great. I was given a free drink just for coming in to interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What do you bring to the team? What are your skills?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Panera Bread (Town of Perinton) in May 2025
Interview
I applied and didn't hear from them for so long that by the time I got the offer for an interview I had forgotten I had applied. The interview itself was standard, "why should I hire you", "what was something you didn't like about your last job" that sort of thing. But I was also asked what color I'd be in a 64 pack of crayons. What does that have to do with sandwiches and salads? After the interview was over I was told I'd be emailed about a second interview. Why does a retail food place have multiple interviews? Hear nothing back from them for almost a week and then get an automated email at 3 AM saying they were going to go with other candidates.

Question 1
In a 64 pack of crayons, which color would you be and why?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Panera Bread (McKinney, TX) in Jul 2024
Interview
The interview process was casual, and my interviewer made me comfortable. We discussed my educational plans, availability, skills, volunteer experience, and salary expectations. I was told I would receive a call at the end of the month about whether or not I would move forward in the hiring process. Overall I would say my interview experience was positive.
