I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Parkland Health (Dallas, TX) in Mar 2018
Interview
Was contacted by HR via email to set up an interview. The interview lasted about 20 minutes and was with the unit manager and 5 RNs from the unit. They explained the residency program at the end and how it worked. $20,000 if you fail the residency or if you drop out of it or break your 3 year contract. I felt that the interview was going well until the end when they started asking pretty dumb questions like what’s your spirit animal and such.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Parkland Health (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2017
Interview
Applied on-line through Parkland's job website for internal candidates. Received call from Unit Manager directly, who described the position, and set up an interview time and date. The interview questions were in depth and reminded me of beauty pageant style questions. First part of interview was with unit manager and two assistant unit managers. The second part of the interview, which I was unaware would be included, was a peer interview with 4-5 other nurses on the unit, who interviewed me after the managers.
