I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Oklahoma City, OK) in May 2018
Interview
I applied for several jobs at Paycom (mostly HR as that is where my experience is), but I also applied for the New Client Setup Specialist position, because I heard there was a large need in this area. This was the only position I received an in-person interview for. Leading up to the interview, it didn't seem as though recruiters were on the same page (I had talked to 3 separate people) and the system seemed a bit inefficient. During the in-person interview, the interviewer seemed more preoccupied with what I specifically did in a position I held 9 years ago, instead of the position I most recently held. Even though I passed all their logic/reasoning and data testing with flying colors (both times), it seemed as though they had someone specific in mind for this role and that wasn't me. The interviewer said he felt as though I was a good cultural fit for Paycom but that I may be better suited for another role there (duh). He said that the recruiter would contact me the next day or the following Tuesday at the latest. As of today, I still haven't heard back from the recruiter. Luckily, I received a much better job offer and feel as though I dodged a bullet!

Other New Client Setup Specialist Interview Reviews for Paycom
Went through a recruiter first and then had an interview in person. It went very smoothly and had no issues. They were kind and made it welcoming. Highly recommended giving it a go.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Paycom (Oklahoma City, OK) in Aug 2024
Interview
Pretty average interview. They focused on behavioral interview questions and asked for them to be answered using the STAR method. However, I recommend not wasting your time on it if you don't have the necessary "professional experience" that they never said they required. Otherwise, good luck!

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Oklahoma City, OK) in Dec 2023
Interview
Phone interview with recruiter followed by in-person interview with employees. Then they have you sign a contingent contract before they do the background check, drug screen, and reference check. Everything moved quickly and efficiently, but seemed to go out of order.
