I submitted my resume for the position and about a week later received an invitation from a recruited inviting me to apply. I promptly completed the online application for the position. A day later I received the standard rejection letter basically stating they had numerous qualified people to apply and that I didn't make the cut. This struck me as odd considering my research telling me that they had a hard time finding applicants for this position and extended the application deadline. All of my experience matched quite well with their qualifications. This is purely a case of I don't like the way your name sounds, or I don't like where you went to school so you don't qualify. Why waste people's time asking them to apply if you are not going to take their applications seriously? The gatekeepers at this place are truly doing this school a disservice by rejecting candidates based on their ridiculous and petty prejudices.
