Pirate Ship interview questions

I interviewed for a month! I had an online assessment and multiple webcam interviews. Everything seemed like it was going great. The interviewers were so friendly. They even told me I was going to be contacted about training soon. I sat through an orientation about the company! Then, like the other reviewer said, I got completely ghosted. I waited for a week or so and never heard back so I reached out and that's when I was told I didn't get the job. I asked them why not, and why did they lead me to believe I was moving on to training? They said they went with someone who had a little more experience than me. Even though in the job listing it said to apply with or without experience. This interview process happened a year ago, and it has honestly made me so nervous about beginning job interview processes with other companies. I'm afraid I'm going to be led on for a month just to be ghosted. I thought I would be a great fit for this place too. But if they have no issue wasting my time and playing with my hopes for a month, maybe I dodged a bullet.

An online assessment, two video interviews. Very straightforward. The people are friendly, the company seems to have an overall great culture. However, I found it very unprofessional to be ghosted entirely after the final round of interviews. I understand not everyone who makes it to the last round gets an offer, sometimes it's not a good culture fit or skill fit, and that's okay. What's not okay is going so far as to make sure you're okay with the start date and any accommodations you might need and then literally never hearing anything again, not an offer, not a rejection. Ghosting from recruiting aside, the company seems like an amazing company and has a well-developed interview process (until the end apparently) that is easy, fast, and very straightforward.
