You had to include multiple references to send an application, even though they won’t be contacted until you pass the interviews. There were two in total. The first one was a video call to get to know you better. The second one was in-person and focused on problem-solving. The interviewer came across as dismissive, did not respond well to clarifying questions, and provided no guidance.
They took a few weeks to get back to me after sending my application. When they did, I had a chat with the president virtually and then a tour/site-interview with the team leads on a different date. They were very flexible and accommodating with the interview timeline and paid for my travel fees.
Both the initial chat and the interview were very casual and friendly.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Planar Motor (Vancouver, BC) in Feb 2024
Interview
I communicated with the employees in university's event and then send an email to submit my application. Pretty straightforward online interview about my previous experience. The interview was approx. 30-60 minute in length, where we’ll try to get to know your previous work experiences, your problem-solving skills, and give you a chance to learn more about our company.
