PlushRugs is associated with HedgeApple. There was a brief phone call with the CEO. He didn't seem enthusiastic about his own company at all and was a lot more interested in what he could exploit from college students rather than the skillsets that would be added to the company. For qualified candidates, he didn't seem to be interested in compensating the deserved and appropriate compensation, instead he wanted to hire college students who were willing to labor over experience. He asked in the phone interview how much I wanted to be paid, in which I responded that I would like to match what I'm currently making for the same position title, but I think it may have scared him away as he was hoping to pay way less than that. After the first phone call, a thank you email was sent, as well as a in person visit to a local job fair. A second thank you email was also sent, but there was absolute radio silence from their end.
