I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Point72 (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
Interviews were ok - 3 stages - 2 technical and one HR interview. The company was not clear about the interview process, for example I got the phone call they are writing my offer letter and then they added the HR interview. In the end it was a waste of time, I stated from the beginning my desired salary, I was informed it is in the budget. I then repeated the expectation during the interview with the TL, who stated that should not be a problem. I passed all stages and afterwards got an offer that was less than my current income and with way worse benefits (I was clear from the beginning I am only interested in a change for financial reasons).

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Point72 in Mar 2026
Interview
Not very difficult. The interviewers were helpful and sweet. The hiring manager was rude and disinterested.
The first round is a tech screen.
After that is the onsite. The onsite consists of 2 technical interviews (AI assisted coding, ML system design) and one behavioural/leadership round with the hiring manager.

There was first meeting with recruiter to align skills. Then a technical case study along with a debrief about it. Then interview panel with several people on the team. The process took about 2 months.

First round call with a member on the technical staff. I did not speak to a recruiter except for scheduling. Rejected after this first round so I'm not sure of the full process
