2 hour group interview over Zoom. There were at least 25+ candidates in this interview. We first had to watch a promotional/marketing video about the organization, which did not give any insight into the role...then we were asked if anyone had any reactions, and two random candidates volunteered talk about how great they thought the video was...a waste of time that felt weirdly self-congratulatory for the org. We were broken into breakout rooms of 5 candidates and asked the interview questions, with each of us given an undisclosed amount of time to answer (probably 60-90 seconds) before being cut off to switch to the next person. After all this, there was a Q&A with current staff where it became clear that the role requires significant travel, often with only a few days' notice. This information was not disclosed in the job posting and if it were, I would not have applied. I left feeling like I had been tricked in to wasting my time, and decided that I were offered another interview I would decline (I was not, so it was a moot point).
