I have read some mix reviews about the P&W interview process, mine was a very good one.
I was originally contacted by a P&W talent advisor, who pretty much held my hand throughout the whole process from start to end. There was no disconnect of any kind, at any given moment, which took about a month, only becasue I waited 2 weeks for the SuperDay.
1. I got a phone call from recruiter
2. Phone interview was arranged 2 days later
3. A few days later I was invited for a superday
4. A few days later I got an information on how to purchase air fare, hotel and rental car for the SD.
5. Waited 2 weeks for the SD.
6. I arrived to Hartford a day before, the interview was the next morning, from 7-11am
I was interviewed by 4 individuals, 2 of which I already spoke during the phone interview.
The interview was a breeze, but i was prepared.
7. Two days later I got an offer, it was a little on the low side, so I negotiated and was able to get $6k more. At that time I was not aware of the relocation package that adds an additional value to the deal. The relocation package is a pretty good one, I will explain at the end.
8. I took the offer, and the next day I was contacted about the next steps: back ground chk, drug screen, benefits information etc.. Background chk took 1.5 weeks.
9. Drug screen is just a urine test.
**Tips: prepare for the interview!!! read all the behavior questions and answers.
Wear a suit to the Super Day, becasue everyone else will!
Dont be discouraged by the offer, the relocation package consists of:
Apartment lease breakup fees (up to 2 months)
Temporary housing or $3-4k cash, which you can use as you wish, it almost like a sign in Bonus. Which to me an additional value to the offer.
Trucking, Storage, Air fares back and forth, Mileage and meals reimbursement.
Help with finding new place to live.
The whole hiring experience for me was just awesome.
