Application process leads to the smart hires website, it's difficult to follow the progress of the application on that website. Took a very long time to be called for an interview after I applied. The position was taken down and I reapplied and finally got a call from the director of the department a few weeks after that. I met with the director in her office. She was very nice and personable and brought the charge nurse into the meeting to participate in the interview. She was a very nice lady and asked appropriate questions regarding my experience and work history and my style of leadership. prior to the end of the interview I was told that I could have the position if I wanted it. The charge nurse took me for a tour of the unit. Prior to leaving the director said she would forward my information to HR to begin the hiring process. Both the charge nurse and the director gave me their contact information before I left just in case I had other questions. It was almost 2 weeks before I heard back from HR due to a family emergency in administration. It took awhile to negotiate my salary with HR, now I am waiting for them to get back to me that I am cleared from my physical and background check.
