First scheduled an in-person qualifying interview that could have been done over the phone The second round of interviews was the actual interview, but they obviously did not check what the candidates applied for. Instead of going in for the position I applied for, the hiring manager did not realize I was an applicant for a human resources position. The recruiter told me it would be for another recruiting position, but the hiring manager only had sales/marketing positions open.

They called me and asked me basic questions about my current employment status, why I would be a good fit for this job, and if I would be willing to commute to this location. They offered me an interview once I answered their questions.
