I applied through other source. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at QVC in Mar 2009
Interview
The interview process was very organized. The internal recruiter created a detailed schedule of interviews that lasted from 9am to 5pm. When I arrived, I was met by the recruiter who walked me through the schedule for the day. The schedule moved forward very orderly. The line of business interviews were freeform with their style. The HR executive asked the formal, standard interview questions such as "tell me about a time when you had to overcome conflict". I was surprised by how many people they brought in for the live interview process -- at least a dozen, but not on that same day.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at QVC (Philadelphia, PA) in May 2024
Interview
In my decades of experience, I've never had quite such a bizarre interview that left me scratching my head. The recruiter wasn't interested in speaking with me or learning about my experience, just to tell me about the position. I tried to ask a few questions about who they want in the role to tie back to my experience, and I was told "someone with media connections." Good luck with media connections in West Chester Pennsylvania...
Interview hadn't finished and was mid sentence when the recruiter hung up the phone pretty abruptly. I'm aware that recruiters are short staffed and have more responsibilities with less time, but your actions leave an indelible mark on people's impression of your organization. I held the organization in high esteem and no longer do.
The recruiter became very rude when I did not accept the role. I was only given ~12-18 hours to make my decision. The interview process was fairly easy and moved quickly.
