I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at QVC
Interview
The Interview was a one-day two part interview process. The first part was with two people from the actual technology department. It consisted of a lot of technical questions that you have listed on your resume. The second part was with two interns and it was a more personal, get to know you type of interview.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at QVC (West Chester, PA) in Nov 2009
Interview
Interview was 6 hours at Studio Park. Met with HR first who did some paperwork and prelim questions for forms. She then escorted me to the first of 3 sessions. First with hiring manager which last 2 hours and was very open and engaging, then with team I would working on which lasted 2 hours and ranged from detailed technology to social to working style to kinds of food I eat and, then to the Manager of the organization that I would be primarily supporting.
This Manager took no time it telling me all the faults she sees/saw with the Technology group and asked about how i supported non-Technology initiatives in the past. After an hour of talking with her, HR tapped on the door. Her parting comment to me was "go elsewhere because the technology guys here are not interested in helping the Business so they will either break you or pigeon hole you if you try to help me, good luck".
HR then finished up with "we'll get back to you". When I asked he about the perception of Technology in the company she said it was like everywhere else she had been "love & hate".
Took 2 weeks to get the "thanks for coming in but ..." call
