      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at ROI Revolution (Raleigh, NC) in Feb 2018

      Interview

Went through a recruiter who was very familiar with ROI. Went in for an on-site interview with the first hour and half is spent taking an 80 question assessment with questions like elephant is 70 what is giraffe? Like come on now, these questions have nothing to do with anything in the Digital Marketing Field. I felt like it was a complete waste of time. Next was a very easy grammar test and WPM test. Lastly, I sat down with two HR personal because the PPC Director was stuck in a meeting. Interview questions were generic to the modern interview questions. Went smooth. Simply enough, the feedback I received on why they didn’t want to move forward with myself as a candidate was because of the assessment score. I get it you try to weed out candidates who can’t tell you what a scrambled word is but are inconsiderate of experience that was suited well for a position. Best of luck to anyone!

      Interview

I was first contacted by Laura a recruiter. We had a quick phone interview discussing my background, strengths/weaknesses, goals for my career, with plenty of time for my questions. Laura quickly followed up to schedule an in person interview with herself as well as two hiring managers from different teams. This interview was more in depth on my work experience and technical knowledge. We discussed my ideal work environment, how I work in a team, successes/challenges within my career, and personal questions about my interests. It was a very friendly and informative interview. It felt more like a conversation than a quiz and I was able to learn more about the role within the company. After this I had a last minute wrap up with the HR team to make sure all my questions were answered which was very helpful. Laura followed up with a phone call shortly after letting me know they were offering the position! They were very quick to respond throughout the process which was very helpful since I was balancing a current job.
