I interviewed for a position in the Berkeley office specifically. I initially received a call to schedule a phone interview a few days after submitting my application online. Unfortunately, the interviewers forgot about our interview altogether and totally missed it. When we finally had the phone interview, it was short- they only asked three questions. I received another call to set up an in person interview, where I met with 7 different members of the team. The interview questions were normal- they asked things such as:
"How do you manage/balance your time?"
"Can you handle juggling multiple projects?"
"Why do you want to work at RTI?"
The in-person interview was pleasant. Everyone answered my questions thoughtfully and seemed very dedicated to their work.
I was initially told I'd receive an answer about a week after my in-person interview. Instead, I received an email asking for references since the interviewers "forgot" to request this information earlier in the process. After I submitted my references, I did not hear back from them at all even though they said they'd give me an answer within another week. I emailed and called multiple times to follow up, but literally all of my calls/messages were completely IGNORED. I spoke with my references, and they confirmed that they were never contacted by anyone at RTI at any point.
Eventually, after two weeks of consistent following up with RTI (including calls/emails to the front-desk receptionist, an HR rep, and one of the interviewers), I finally received an email- full of typos, mind you- telling me they'd chosen another candidate.
Overall, the interview process was one of the worst I've ever been through. It was very, very unprofessional. I would NOT recommend applying for RTI.
