I was a new-grad but my friend referred me to Rakuten, which was designed for mid-career recruiting. So no offer was expected in the first place. However, this was a informational talk. The interview was conducted by the team leader of the M&A (PMI) team in English. It was mostly based on my resume, and how my background relate to what they need. We went further to talk about some recent M&A deals.
