We were very sorry to learn of your experience with the HR department here at Rathbones. Having looked into this in some detail, we fully acknowledge that a miscommunication led to the event that you described, for which we sincerely apologise. Our Resourcing Consultant recognised that you were a strong candidate and made an attempt to secure part-time working hours without fully validating that this would be suitable for the business beforehand. This was done with the best of intentions, but we absolutely accept that we failed in our endeavours. We believe this to be an isolated experience that is not reflective of Rathbones’ usual practices. We are sorry that you have suffered from it and will work hard to ensure these exceptional circumstances are not repeated.
