ReCode Therapeutics interview questions

Interview spanned across 3 to 4 different days to accommodate different time zones. The interviewers did not ask interview like questions, instead spoke of their own roles. HR was kind enough to check in on the final day and even spoke about logistics/pay, and that the hiring manager liked me, etc. The third day met with someone that I had previously asked what their role was as it was not a common title. Never received that information from HR, and it made the final interview strange with this person who was completely condescending. The following Monday got an email they were not moving forward. And did not have the common courtesy to provide a reason or any form of constructive feedback. Was completely appalled by the whole experience and felt led on.

The interview process although smooth was highly disappointing. I had an HR round followed by interview with the hiring manager and an onsite panel interview all within 2 weeks. I was really optimistic and the process had crossed the reference stage. I was given a verbal offer and was told they would match my current pay. In an hour of giving my expected pay range, I was told that the position was taken down and they wouldn't be hiring anymore and then moved on to repost that position. I would definitely not suggest this to anyone. I firmly believe if there is a specific reason for not wanting a candidate on board, make it clear. I am glad I did not leave my previous job because of their verbal agreement.
