call with HR - normal initial candidate screen and good conversation. next round is call with hiring manager. this part was not as seamless as hiring manager forgot about our first call and we had to reschedule to another day after I reached out to HR. on rescheduled call, hiring manager was late. hiring manager then proceeded to dominate the next hour talking about the company's values and other duties she envisioned for the role I had applied for that were not in the job description. i was never asked about my experience or skillset as it related to the position. following this call, I was ghosted by Remote for several weeks before finally getting a generic rejection email. the whole process left a very poor impression of the company.
