One screen with recruiter, one call with hiring manager, then an extensive take-home assignment. After spending 4+ hours of work on a task, they sent an automated rejection email. No word from any real human. Very callous.

I would like to begin this review by saying that this exact feedback was shared with the recruitment team. It was shared before I was offered the job and my reason for sharing it now, is that I wanted to explicitly say that this sentiment would not have been impacted whether or not I was successful in joining the team. I just wanted to reach out to share a final thank you to each of you for coordinating and maintaining such a wonderful interview process during my candidate experience at Remote. I knew from the start that Remote is very intentional and transparent about their values, but it is not often that a candidate gets to experience these values as I have during this interview process. Each and every interaction demonstrated kindness and excellence. It was truly inspiring to see how the team members genuinely care and take ownership of what they do at Remote and that is something I resonate with too. As a remote work advocate, I chose to apply at Remote because of value system alignment as well as finding it extremely exciting to be a part of a company at the forefront of making an impact in the remote work space as well as creating incredible opportunities for the global workforce. There is such great purpose in the work you are all doing at Remote.
