I applied online and the job description was lacking seemed more entry level than anything. A few days later, I got a phone interview where they just kinda asked me about my experience, what I do in a marketing capacity at my current job, how I would create a marketing campaign, etc. It was a bit awkward, but not the worst interview I've had. It lasted 30 min.
Honestly, I thought I bombed it because I didn't have any true marketing experience so my answers were lacking. However, at the end of the phone interview he asked to set up an in person interview.
In person interview only lasted 30 min which I took as a bad sign. The interviewer just asked more about my marketing experience and my responsibilities at my other companies which again, was lacking. I was much more of a written content creator, but it seemed like they wanted a more analytical person.
The interviewer said he would email me a writing assignment so they could see how I did. Never heard back from them which seemed unprofessional to me.
In all, it seems like they didn't really read my resume and wasted my time with interviews because they never seemed too interested in me. You'll know pretty quick if they like you or not.
