River Network interview questions

Applied to be considered for either of two open associate positions. Was contacted a month later for an interview. Interview was offered to be either via phone or zoom. Had a very pleasant 30-40 minute conversation with the interviewer—felt very organic and natural. Aside from discussing just the technicalities of the position, I felt very seen as an individual. My questions were very thoroughly answered and next steps were explained. Unfortunately I did not make it to the second round of interviews but was notified promptly within a few days. Though it was not the outcome I’d hoped for, it was a very positive interview experience with a wonderful organization and I’d definitely apply again in the future.

Made it past the first cut, and as a second round before actually getting to interview with anyone, we had to put together an incredibly involved presentation in a very short amount of time. I stayed up very late perfecting my presentation after getting off from my job at the time, only to be rejected shortly after submitting. Asking folks to do that big of a project unpaid is a no go in my book.
