The worst interview process in my entire 20+ year career. The outside recruiter was the absolute worst/most amateurish I’ve ever encountered (Arlene Barro Consulting). The company CEO of Roadway (Ross Sapir) put on a good show during multiple interviews like he’s an upstanding person and businessman who believes in “karma” but in the end, turned out to be a shady, wishy-washy slickster to say the least. Beware of the gushing positive reviews of this company on GD as these are mostly from current employees who were probably writing such glowing reviews to stay “in good graces”. The GD employee review (from August, 2017) about “false promises” sums up a more realistic POV. They offer no 401(k), no profit sharing and minimal paid vacation and holidays (which doesn’t even include MLK day for a primarily black staff). Also, their HQ office is in a rough/industrial section of the south Bronx so be prepared for that reality. Lastly, they claim to be yelp.com’s “#1 Mover in NYC” and have the nerve to have that lie painted on their trucks. As of this writing they’re #2 or 3 at best (google it for yourself for the truth).
